Lupulesku is awesome, great spin player, too bad that politics destroyed his career, definitly the more talented of the legendary double with Primorac.

Thanks Robert Trudell.

nice match, it's always interesting to see how Lupy can take people apart, but I guess that's why he's nearly 2800 and at one time about #25 in the world.

One thing I noticed is that there is someone making an aweful lot of noise at the table next to the camera.  All I hear is "CHHHHOOOOOO!!!!!" very loud and prolonged ever few seconds.  I wish I could throw an axe through the computer screen and it would hit that person in the mouth.  I hope this person developes cancerous polyps in his throat and so can no longer monopolize the airspace for 1/4 mile around his table.  This person, whoever it is, has absolutely no consideration for anyone else but himself.  It's a shame that this person's parents never taught him good sportsmanship or manners.  I think I know who it is that is making all this noise, and I don't really care that he's accepted into a prestigious college or is a good player.  All I know is that this person has no consideration for other competitors.

Anyway, rant over- I'd like to point out that neither Lupy nor Barney seemed to notice this obvious noise.  How do they do this?  Do they wear ear plugs?  Do they do their training next to a jackhammer?  How can they focus so well and not start screaming or throwing paddles at the person on the table next to them?

I have just found something new to admire in both of their games:  incredible ability to not hear the annoying turd who so desperately needs a muzzle on the table next to them.  I wish I could develop that kind of focus, but all I want to do is take my hands around that person's throat and strangle him- slowly.  Or, I'd like to wrap some duct-tape around his mouth; and I want to be the one to rip it off when the match is over; and hopefully there will be bloody pieces of flesh still stuck in the tape, and holes in his face where his lips used to be.

I'm not even playing this match and my blood pressure is rising.

Marco

When I saw that match, it really made me want to quit.  Most of the really good players I have played in my life either, took it easy  (by good I mean over 2800) or tried to rip every ball which gave me a chance.  I did play someone from europe once, who played a style like LUpi.  I know the guy tore apart Fan at the US Open.  I forgot his name but, he beat the crap out of me.  I just couldn't adjust to his game.  Really safe and great spin from both sides.

When your playing a match like that be sure to smash all video recorders.  Something Barney should have done during that Lupi match.  I can't wait to play Lupi now.  Actually, Sean has a video of me playing Lupi.  Sean can you put up some of the points online if you have time.

Are you talking about Jaromir Truska?

the slow spinner who beat Fan in the US Open was probably Truska from Slovakia.  He was a lefty.

BTW, how do you deal with annoying people who "cho" very loudly?

A picture is not coming up on the screen but, yeah I think he beat Fan in the 201 US Open.  I can check the results of the teams ceuase I did beat his team mate.  His team mate I think was rated like 2700.  It was the 21 point game.  Maybe cause I beat his team mate, thats why he beat me so bad.  I never lost a match so bad in my life.  Really got the crap smacked out of me.  Maybe cause I know a bit more about the game I'll do better but, I doubt it.

Then again I played Stephan Feth in practice 1 year ago and lost 11-1.  Then I played him last month in practice and I lost 3-2.  Maybe that european guy was having a good day.  But I would hate to have to play him again.

In this video clip:

I hear some talking about someone's consistency (maybe Truska's) and it almost sounds like you.

The guy says "Oh yeah, he's always consistent".
