Derrick didn't warm up properly before this match, he just walked in the door and came to the table. That was an obvious advantage for me.

But I'm still proud of this match, because it's the first match I play after starting to read "With Winning in Mind." I'm going to do a full review on this book once I'm done with it. But I highly recommend this book.

You'll notice that my forehand loop was off in this match. This is my main tool, and without it I should have been doomed. But I managed to drop shot, flip, push, and block my way to a win. I stayed positive, and didn't "over-think". I "trusted my subconcious" and just "let it happen." I didn't think about what the score was or what game it was.

I was not able to maintain focus throughout the match. However, it's a start in the right direction. I really like this book and highly recommend it.

The book helps explain alot of what happens in table tennis or any other sport with some easy to follow concepts and terms.

I have all the kids I coach using this book as a basis for me to explain things to them.

So far, this book is along the same lines as "The Inner Game of Tennis" but it is much more concrete and easy to read, and shorter.

BTW, I'm sure you know it was written by a man who had many gold medals and other awards in Marksmanship.
