"I think the behavior in this match is just as
worthy of evaluation as that of the USATT Board meeting
minutes.
--Rob"
Rob, I disagree. I was professional all the way
through this match. At the end, I shook hands with
the ump and the opponent. I didn't lose my temper
at all, even though there were several instances of
stalling and hidden serves going on.
But besides all that, I don't think you have the
right to video tape and post on the internet matches
besides your own. If I agreed to let you post a
vid of me, and my opponent asked you not to, then you
shouldn't. If both opponents are in agreement,
then it can be posted.
At least, that's the way I would like it to be.
I'm going to send an email to a few TD's, including
USATT ump chair, and see what the official oppinion is.
Maybe they will say that anyone who enters a tournament
is subject to be videotaped and posted on the net?
I don't know, but until I hear some official word, it
would be nice if you would take down this video.
You should have the class and the character to ask
your subjects if they want to be filmed before you film
them, even without an official ruling. You should
respect the wishes of those you are filming.
