The Maryland Federalist, a 15-foot replica of the 1788 vessel, was built by Marylanders to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the U.S. Constitution. Christened in Annapolis in June 1987, she made her first official appearance in Philadelphia's Constitution Day Parade on September 17, 1987.  In 1988, the Maryland Federalist was sailed to Mount Vernon, retracing the voyage of the original ship, She is now going on tour, reminding Americans of the important role she had in the great events 200 years ago.
