Refreshing Performance
One of the most refreshing performances so far in the history of the ITTF World Cadet Challenge belonged to a young girl from California, USA.
When young Lily Zhang - only ten years old - received the fair play and friendship award from the host association, she personified more than ever the passion that we all feel for this event.

Lily Zhang of USA, barely visible over the end of the table, won a healthy share of her matches, and with 4 World Cadet Challenges remaining gives North America some reason for optimism

Ten Year Old Lily Zhang Receives an International Award

Lily Zhan, a USATT National Cadet player, was recently honored by receipt of a special Award at the South African World Cadet Championships, Oct. 16-28, 2007.

The following statement was contained in the ITTF webpage WJCC article titled, “Well done, my friends”:

“One of the most refreshing performances so far in the history of the ITTF World Cadet Challenge belonged to a young girl from the USA. When young Lily Zhang-only ten years old- received the Fair Play and Friendship Award from the host association, she personified more than ever the passion we all feel for this event.”

Congratulations, Lily!   This shows  strong character. The USATT family is very honored by your actions.
